Transplant seedlings in May spacing plants 18-24 inches apart and rows 24-30 inches apart. Harvest in September. Maturity: 68-70 days
Beautiful crisp ruffled green leaves are nicely dressed with a glossy red overlay. The sweet tasting heads are a popular choice and make fantastic baby greens.
Sow seeds in successive crops every 2 weeks from April to August as long as weather is cool.
Harvest by pulling entire plant or for baby greens. Cut leaves at least 2cm above base as this will encourage new leaf growth.
Harvest in 70 days.
Canada #1 Seed
*****if seeds are on sale, it is because they are from a previous season****
Thick walled, very pungent dark green fruits that average 9cm long by 4cm wide and turn red at maturity. Makes an eye watering addition to salsa and dips. this is also an excellent variety for pickling.
