Ocimum basilicum. Authentic Thai basil, widely used in Southeast Asian cuisine, featuring the unmistakable spicy, anise/licorice-like flavour. Pointy, narrow leaves grow on pretty purple stems. The pink-purple flowers that eventually bloom can be used as a garnish for sweet dishes as well. Grows to a height of around 40-50cm (16-20″).
