Excellent white bunching heritage variety well adapted to northern growing areas. Solid round bulbs have thin delicate skins. Flesh is white, fine grained, and mild. Excellent in salads.
Sow in early spring.
Shallow roots require even watering. For spring onions, pull any time after plants are 30cm tall.
An early variety imported from Denmark. Heads are round ranging in size from 4 1/2 – 5 1/2 lbs. Sowing instructions: Plant seeds 0.5 inches deep indoors from February-March or directly outdoors from May-June. Transplant seedlings in May spacing plants 18-24 inches apart and rows 24-30 inches apart. Harvest in September. Maturity: 68-70 days
