Easy to grow, requires minimal care and tastes much better when homegrown and it is big on vitamins and anti-oxidants. Cut the main head early and enjoy flavourful side shoots for several more weeks. Great eaten raw or steamed. Good variety for freezing.
An early variety imported from Denmark. Heads are round ranging in size from 4 1/2 – 5 1/2 lbs. Sowing instructions: Plant seeds 0.5 inches deep indoors from February-March or directly outdoors from May-June. Transplant seedlings in May spacing plants 18-24 inches apart and rows 24-30 inches apart. Harvest in September. Maturity: 68-70 days
