Heirloom variety that is popular because of its great storing capability. Orange-scarlet roots are smooth and even shaped, and grow 15 cm long and 2.5 cm thick. Sow carrots in well prepared light soil after the soil temperature rises above 8°C.
Keep seedbed evenly moist avoiding crusting over while the seeds are sprouting. Do not use a high nitrogen fertilizer.
Crisp emerald green outer leaves and sweet flavour make this heritage variety a popular salad choice. Attractive uniformly shaped heads average 25 cm tall. Good resistance to bolting and tolerance to tip burn.
