The 45cm dwarf vines of this heirloom variety produce deep green nearly round pods 8cm high. Each pod is tightly packed with 7 or more very sweet, tender peas that freeze well.
Sow seeds in successive crops every 2 weeks from early April to mid-May, as long as the weather is cool. You may also sow in mid-August for a late season crop.
Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers. Stake for easier picking. As pods mature, pick daily to encourage additional pod formation.
