Large 900g heads, 20 cm across with good wrapper leaves. Holds well in the garden. Good for both early and late season crops. Mildew tolerant. Does best in sunny site with moist, rich soil.
Sow seed from mid April to late June and again, mid August.
Beautiful crisp ruffled green leaves are nicely dressed with a glossy red overlay. The sweet tasting heads are a popular choice and make fantastic baby greens.
Sow seeds in successive crops every 2 weeks from April to August as long as weather is cool.
Harvest by pulling entire plant or for baby greens. Cut leaves at least 2cm above base as this will encourage new leaf growth.
Harvest in 70 days.
