I love this tomato! Unusual honey-brown skin and pink when sliced open, and the skin is thick. What really stays with me about this variety is the flavour! It is a distinctive sweet, fruit, and delicious. Indeterminate. Mid-season maturity.

    These 75cm sturdy plants produce very mild fruit.  Sweet peppers are 4 lobed and average 10cm long and 7cm wide.  Thick deep green flesh ripens to a deep scarlet.  Great for flavouring, pickling, stuffing, and salads.

    Start indoors mid-February to late March in a soilless medium.  Grow seedlings under bright light at 18°C.  Transplant after hardening off in late May.

    Keep evenly watered.  Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers.  Harvest after colour changes for the best taste and quality.

    Tomatillo – Dr. wyches yellow Matchbox

    A fun plant to grow, this rare heirloom can grow quite large and bears heavy yields of 1 ½ “ – 2” fruit. We found this variety to be on the sweet side, and enjoyed using it in salsa, salads, omelettes, and more. Fruit takes on a lovely yellow tone when ripe. Holds well after harvest, be sure to stake plants with care.

    Medium green leaves are long and deeply lobed with a tender texture and sweet taste.  Good resistance to bolting and relatively heat tolerant.  Excellent in salads.

    Sow seeds in successive crops every 2 weeks from April to August, as long as weather is cool.

    Harvest by pulling entire plant or cutting leaves at least 2cm above the base to encourage new leaf growth.

    Harvest in 45 days.
